CCL-Forensics provides the entire range of digital forensic services. These are summarised as:

• Computer forensics (forensic extraction and interpretation of data from PCs and laptops running Windows, Mac, UNIX, LINUX – as well as memory sticks, CD/DVDs, internet tablets, digital cameras etc.)
• Mobile phone forensics (acquisition of data from mobile phones, smartphones, SIM/USIM cards, memory cards etc. – presented in a free interface allowing searching, filtering and viewing of commonalities between multiple exhibits)
• Cell site analysis (investigation into geographic location of a mobile phone using mast data from the phone company)
• Sat nav forensics (extraction, interpretation and presentation of data from sat nav Units and other GPS devices)
• On-site imaging (forensic data collection and on-site support)
• Court appearance – all staff are courtroom trained and regularly give evidence in court.

Flexibility

Our central location in Stratford-upon-Avon is at the heart of the UK's transport infrastructure, meaning that CCL-Forensics is ideally placed to – and regularly does - carry out work across the UK. It also means we have fast response times to on-site digital forensic requirements.

CCL-Forensics operates an out-of-hours emergency service, with analysts who can be deployed at a moment’s notice.

Our turnaround times are also flexible, ensuring that tight deadlines are met and large forensic assignments are completed within the agreed time.

We also have a number of dedicated viewing suites where investigators can see the evidence themselves with support from analysts. This is especially useful in highly complex cases where the investigator needs regular access to the evidence.

Quality and security

In 2010, CCL-Forensics became one of the first companies of its kind to achieve ISO17025. This is the standard required by the Home Office Forensic Science Regulator for all suppliers of digital forensic services to the criminal justice system. It gives customers confidence that CCL-Forensics has attained the highest possible standard in its field.

A total quality manager oversees a team of QA staff who ensure all forensic assignments undergo a rigorous checking procedure. All clients are also assigned a case coordinator who ensure regular contact with the forensic analyst at all stages of the process.

All clients are offered our confidentiality agreement, which assures complete discretion and peace of mind. All CCL-Forensics staff are security checked under the ACPO National Vetting Scheme for Contractors, and our analysts undergo a highly comprehensive training programme balanced with regular counselling and review sessions which ensure that our retention rate is second to none.
