Customer team
The experienced team at CCL-Forensics has conducted tens of thousands of cases involving digital evidence. Below is a selection of the staff members who may be your first port of call when you contact us.
Andrew Krauze – Managing Director
Andrew Krauze is managing director of CCL-Forensics which was established in 2002 after its, now, sister company CCL Independent Consulting began providing computer forensic services to law enforcement.
His career in the IT industry began in 1979 at Olivetti. He moved to Sperry Univac (Unisys) and was involved in establishing a Midlands-based mini computer reseller (Mytec) which became a pre-eminent VAR for Informix based systems around Multisoft and Tetra.
In 1986 he established CCL (Computer Consultants) Limited. Twenty-five years later, the company, now known as CCL Independent Consulting, is the largest and best-known independent IT consultancy in the UK.
A keen golfer and Formula One enthusiast, he counts Seve Ballesteros, Tiger Woods and Lewis Hamilton as three of his heroes.
Mark Larson – Forensics Manager
Mark has overall responsibility for the quality of the forensic work produced by CCL-Forensics and for making sure it is equipped to meet the ever growing, ever evolving challenges that face the digital forensics world. He also line manages CCL-Forensics’ mobile phone analysts as well as providing support to the sales and marketing team with technical advice.
He has a well established history of high-profile law enforcement work, having managed the digital forensics group of HM Revenue & Customs. Before that he was an investigator for customs before training as a digital forensic analyst.
A keen musician, Mark can often be heard entertaining friends, family and neighbours with tuneful renditions from his saxophone.
Philip Ridley – Technical Presales Manager
Philip is one of CCL-Forensics’ most experienced digital analysts, and uses his skills in forensics to ensure corporate clients recieve the highest level of tailored service.
He spent spent a number of years working overseas in Japan after graduating from University. On his return to the UK, he worked in IT consultancy before securing a job at CCL as a digital forensic analyst.
Philip’s favourite part of the job is knowing that the work CCL-Forensics does has a positive impact on society.
He is also heavily involved in the world of Taekwon-do, which he has been studying for more than 10 years.
David Lattimore – Computer Lab and Cell Site Manager
David has overall responsibility for the PC lab and cell site analysis functions at CCL-Forensics, and has previously spent two years as total quality manager – during which he oversaw the awarding of the complex ISO17025 standard.
He spent 12 years in the Royal Navy in the radio electrical branch – and then joined Thames Valley Police. In 1992 whilst in the fraud squad, he developed the computer forensics capability. David was was seconded to the Home Office in 2002 to assist in the development and operation of a specialists digital forensic unit relating to encryption on behalf of law enforcement.
Outside work, he enjoys playing bowls competitively, walking and golf. He also runs a monthly pub quiz to raise money for local charities and good causes.
Andy Holmes – Marketing Manager
Andy is responsible for the public face of CCL-Forensics, including all public-facing literature, communication, website, publicity and corporate presence. The digital forensics industry is rapidly evolving as new technologies emerge, and CCL-Forensics is at the forefront of that. It is important to communicate these developments through various channels to those who can benefit from it.
Andy studied physics at University – with a focus on digital and electronic systems. He spent 13 years as a journalist and news editor before combining these skills in Forensics Marketing.
He also gives CPD courses to criminal defence lawyers, and his favourite aspect of the job is communicating a highly technical message in the most effective form.
Outside work, he is a keen photographer. When not taking pictures, he can often be found in the kitchen, experimenting with exotic cuisine.
Vicky Fraser - Marketing Executive
Vicky is responsible for putting together CCL-Forensics' public message and ensuring that we communicate clearly and engagingly with clients, the public and suppliers. She provides support to the marketing manager, as well as having responsibility for the development of new channels of communication in social media.
Her favourite aspect of the job is writing: communicating complex and technical information to a wider audience in a way that is interesting and easy to understand.
Vicky studied archaeology and ancient history at university (learning the ancient Egyptian written language - hieroglyphs - in the process), worked as a scenes of crime officer for several years, then for a national charity as a press office and web editor (weaving together the traditional print media and new online communications channels).
Outside work, Vicky is a motorcycle enthusiast with an ancient ZZR600 as a commuter and a broken R6 in the garage. When not on two wheels, she's a science nerd studying for an Open University degree in natural sciences.
