The number of Satellite Navigation Units being used in the UK is increasing at a dramatic rate. This means the chances of them being used in criminal or inappropriate activity is also increasing - and they are becoming an integral part of many investigations.
Whether in a criminal or civil case - or even as part of an internal investigation - CCL-Forensics can forensically acquire data from the growing range of satellite navigation units. This also includes other devices which use GPS technology.
This data can be used to analyse where the unit has been, how it has been used, and to retrieve any other information it may hold. The data is often stored in a complex form within the unit, and once extracted needs to be interpreted by one of our highly experienced digital analysts.
This information (including waypoints, directions, routes, favourites etc) can then be presented in the most appropriate format to the client.
