Testimonial
Thank [you] for the wonderful statement describing cell site which you kindly sent. Your statement saved much legal argument and allowed us to put… evidence before the jury without criticism from the defence in closing speeches.
Research and Development
As technology advances, the challenges faced by investigators who need to extract digital evidence also increases. CCL-Forensics recognises these challenges, but works with law enforcement bodies to turn them into opportunities.
Our dedicated research and development team is constantly working with new and existing technology to locate and present new evidence, which may previously not have been accessible.
Recent successes include...
- Extraction and presentation of data from commonly used SQLite databases. Our epilog technique can recover deleted and dereferenced records from this widely-used database format.
- Mobile phone web cache tool. As many phones now contain a web browser, CCL-Forensics can now rebuild and present web pages from the phone's cache. This can include social networking history.
- Xpath utility. The amount of data found in XML and plist files is increasing. We have developed Xpath techniques to help interpet and present this data.
- Smartphone application audit. With many phones containing "apps", it is important to understand their capability before they are analysed. This tool helps our analysts do just that.
- FLARE intelligence analysis tool. This tool, free with phones analysed at CCL-Forensics, allows investigators to search, filter, bookmark and analyse numerous phones from the same case simultaneously.
This is only a sample of our R&D achievements. If you would like more information, please call us on 01789 261200, email us at info@ccl-forensics.com - or contact us online.
