Standards and Compliance Manager

What do you do? 
Responsible for the Quality Management System and maintaining CCL-Forensics ISO9001:2000 certification.  Also responsible for achieving other Standards, currently seeking certification for ISO27001 for Information Security.  I also check all casework including Technical Reports and Witness Statements prior to submission to our clients.

How did you get here? 
Since leaving college, I have spent many years as a PA/Director's Secretary for an export company.  I then joined CCL (Computer Consultants) Limited in 1991 as a Projects Secretary/Receptionist and over the last 17 years have worked my way up the ranks to the position I hold now of Forensics Quality Manager.

Favourite part of the job? 
I do enjoy checking technical reports as I like things to be top notch before they go out to our clients.

Who do you look up to? 
Professor Lord Robert Winston, because he is an extremely clever, interesting and kind man. 

How do you spend your spare time? 
I am a hockey goalkeeper and spend many cold Saturday mornings in far-flung towns in Worcestershire trying to keep balls out of the net!

What's been the worst job you've ever had? 
For many years I had a job as a shepherdess which meant I was out in all weathers delivering lambs, dipping sheep, throwing bales of hay around.  It was extremely hard and dirty work and I was paid very little.
