Trading Standards (Counterfeiting)

A Local Authority’s Trading Standards Department carried out an investigation into suspicion of counterfeiting of designer brands.

In conjunction with the Police, a raid was carried out and a number of computers seized.

CCL-Forensics carried out an analysis of the computers to determine which would warrant further investigation.

Once this initial exercise was completed, further analysis was carried out on the relevant devices.

This found evidence of financial records, use of designer logos on homemade packaging and emails confirming delivery and distribution information.
