ISO27001 – UKAS regularly audited

ISO27001 is an international standard on information security.  Very few digital forensics companies have this important standard, which demonstrates that CCL-Forensics has an information security management system designed to ensure that adequate and proportional security controls are in place to protect clients' data.  This includes robust acceptable use policies to which staff must adhere, as well as confidentiality agreements. Not only does this protect data stored on the company's secure servers, but also paper documentation which accompany it.   All documentation must bear the correct classification (CCL-Forensics uses the nationally recognised Government Protective Marking Scheme - GPMS) and be handled correctly in relation to its classification.  This standard also means that simple precautions like clear desk policies are carried out as a matter of course, and like ISO9001, it is audited every six months by an independent accreditation body.
