Our Philosophy

CCL-Innovation can provide digital investigation services to counter and investigate external and internal cyber-attacks, comply with regulations and audit requirements, and cope with litigation by identifying and solving business problems.

CCL-Innovation will provide an independent recommendation on the ideal solution that will help to identify, monitor and/or conclude any digital investigation.

The organisation is built on the credibility of leading forensic practitioners who have identified a client need to innovate digital investigations. The company uses recognised software brands within the field of forensic and e-discovery practice, combining the software with high-performance hardware to conduct efficient and covert investigations.

A strategic partnership with Fujitsu, Guidance Software and Autonomy enables businesses to take an holistic approach to managing sensitive and non-sensitive company data for use in:

 • Identification of digital problems or potential problems
 • External or internal cyber-attacks
 • Data and intellectual property theft
 • Proactive data and content management
 • Litigation and ESI
 • Compliance and audit
 • Internal digital investigation capability

All solutions can be tailored to individual needs, implemented as an appliance or undertaken as a full managed service. This is underpinned by a consultancy service which can guide clients through compliance and digital risk management, identifying potential problem areas and providing a tailored solution to the organisation’s exact requirements.

Those organisations wishing to set up or refresh their own internal digital investigation capability can come to CCL-Innovation for infrastructure, software, comprehensive training and ongoing advice and support.

Independent IT Consultancy

The Independent IT Consultancy

The company's roots go back to 1986, when CCL - the Independent IT Consultancy - was established in Stratford-upon-Avon by its current managing director, Andrew Krauze. Its focus on independence and client-centred IT consultancy has led to a reputation for integrity and highly-structured and logical methodology, and has earned CCL the accolade of being one of the UK's largest independent IT consultancies.

CCL's core expertise lies in developing IT strategies and specifying, selecting and project-managing ERP systems, defining the best possible IT strategy for the client. The company aims to combine its deep understanding of information technology with the client's in-depth knowledge of their own business, forging a working relationship that provides businesses with exactly what they need.

This experience, together with 30 consultants with backgrounds in IT strategy, ERP and project management, and their knowledge of the latest trends and technologies, has provided a sound foundation on which to build and expand the business.

Forensics

CCL-Forensics

From the independent IT consultancy grew CCL-Forensics, whose philosophy is:

"Digital evidence? If it's there, we'll find it."

CCL started to undertake expert witness work in the early 1990s. The directors became fascinated by looking at evidence on and in computer systems as part of a case, and this, together with advancements in technology, spurred the revolution we call digital forensics.

The organisation seized the opportunity to build upon its experience, and developed a new department within the IT consultancy business in 2001 to undertake digital investigation services, providing digital investigation services to law enforcement, the legal sector, corporates and public and private sector bodies. In 2004, CCL-Forensics became a standalone business.

The company expanded to become the UK's leading supplier of computer and mobile phone forensics, and cell site analysis services. These services are continually developing into the fields of smartphones and cyber security, as well as developing our own products (Flare, Pip, etc.).

CCL-Forensics' values are driven by quality, evidenced by its numerous accreditations, delivery times, and value for money.

The company's innovative approach to cases is driven by the need to meet tight deadlines for court cases and the gaps in capability of standard forensic tools. Each case is taken on its merits, and new tools, software and methodologies are used and developed by the analysts according to individual requirements.

CCL-Forensics' research and development team create new software and innovative solutions to new problems faced by our clients, and in the fast-paced world of digital technology this has been paramount to our success.

CCL-Innovation

CCL-Innovation

With threats posed by technology changing and developing at lightning speed, CCL-Forensics identified that its unique blend of skills and experience could be used in a proactive manner to enable businesses to protect their digital assets, customer data and intellectual property.

The company's traditional digital forensics capability has not changed. But CCL-Forensics' vast experience as leading digital forensics practitioners means that we know exactly what demands clients in the corporate world are likely to face.

CCL-Innovation can offer solutions for cyber security, including incident response; a review of the whole network; or internal policing. In addition, e-discovery is a particular area of expertise, with clients able to choose from a tailored solution for their existing capability, a solution for those corporates looking to develop their own in-house e-discovery capability, and an option for clients wishing to outsource their requirements.

By forging partnerships with Fujitsu for high-performance hardware, and Guidance Software, AccessData and Autonomy for industry-leading software solutions, the organisation was able to combine these with its own unique blend of skills and experience in digital forensic solutions and innovative approaches to problem-solving.

There is no other organisation in the world with CCL-Innovation's fusion of technology, forensic skills and experience, and in-depth understanding of exactly the digital problems faced by businesses, public and private organisations and governments.

Whether it is cyber security, e-discovery, "traditional" computer forensics, or simply advice and information there is nobody better placed to help.
